i had a great easter today!
and it seems even better when i compare it to the abortion of an indian cultural celebration that occurred on saturday.
the indians (the kind with dots) in olathe had been plugging this thing for almost a month in advance.
i dont know what the festival was about, or how its name was pronounced, but i was kinda worried it might take some of the wind out of easters sails.
well i checked it out and it turns out i had nothing to worry about.
turns out their celebration consisted of some informational posters made with magic markers and crappy booths manned by indian guys who, im guessing based on past experience, were probably a lot less interested in their culture than their girlfriends who made them do it were.
how crappy were the booths?
well the "dress like an indian" one didnt have a single feathered headdress and when i asked about it they got very angry at me.
its not my fault you didnt prepare.
its clear what they were thinking. i bet their cultural association was all like, “we dont need booths, once we start dancing everyone will think our culture is awesome.”
too bad it was 30 degrees and raining yesterday!
apparently, if its too cold for indian women to dance around in fancy clothes, its too cold for the indians to have a culture worth caring about.
tough but fair!
and they didnt even have any free curry!
